So, usually our day starts out with some breakfast, bath time, getting ready and then toy time. Toy time which usually consists of pots and pans still. Although, he has some favorites that are actual toys-those include his legos, a tool set, books with cars/trains in them, balls, stickers, a little basketball hoop he has, and really anything that sings or makes noise.
We have found one movie that Patrick actually "watches." He loves to watch The Lorax, which has become a lifesaver at approximately 10:30 because that's when I start to feel like I need a little break. Yes, I'm quite pregnant, I get tired easily and my son now gets a little t.v. time in the morning. Although, I do have to limit him because he asks for this movie all day long(where was this movie when I had constant morning sickness for the first 24ish weeks of pregnancy;)). I really can't believe that he's actually getting the attention span to be entertained by a movie, but I think he loves it so much because it has a lot of bright colors and catchy musical numbers. Patrick's a music lover and likes to start dancing around when he hears music on the television.
Some days we just skip the whole, take a bath and get dressed part. |
After lunch, I usually run him out to my mom's house because I teach for part of the week. Patrick goes down for a nap and then plays with grandma until I'm done with lessons.
Then it's dinner time, more play time for Patrick and then bedtime. My favorite part. :) Of course, our day varies depending on if Jon and I work out during lunch time, or I go to the grocery store, etc. It doesn't sound like much when I lay my day out like that but somehow I'm still exhausted by the end of the day. I'd like to say I'll have more energy when I'm not pregnant but we all know babies are a lot of work. ;) We can't wait till it starts to warm up because Patrick and I both really enjoy going to the park(pretty sure I've mentioned that numerous times), and this summer we'll have another little buddy coming with us. Time to start looking for double strollers!
