Winter time

We came home to visit for the holidays.  It also worked out that our house in N.C. sold while we were gone as well as Jon getting an amazing job that let him work from home again.  So we didn't end up going back, other than to finish packing everything up and drive it all back(Jon and I did that by ourselves).  But here are a few pictures from our time here before all that happened.  It was so refreshing to see snow!

Home Improvements

We did a lot of painting and home improvements to our house in N.C.  My space affects my mood, which affects everyone so something had to be done.;)  Here are some befores:

The house was fine, it just felt a lot like 1990s and had a lot of the same color throughout.  

Here's some pictures after we painted everything, added some new light fixtures, hardware, etc.

I took these pictures when we were getting ready to sell it, but mainly I just wanted to remember what our home in N.C. looked like.  There was a lot of growth and love that happened in that house. :)

Halloween 2018

Life lately

It's so weird that here in N.C., we are in the later fall time and it's still hot outside.  We were watching "The Office" and they commented on the first snowfall and I literally started tearing up because I wanted that magical snow moment.  I realized that I actually love the change of the seasons to winter, which I had no idea about myself. Home updates...this kitchen felt so. much. better. after this little face lift.  We actually painted the whole house and did quite a few improvements.  I couldn't handle the beige everywhere.

Blacky away from home during the spring and 4 months later, on a run, I found her.  She was hanging out at a white house with black shutters and a barn on the side.  She was trying to find our old home:(  But we were so happy to find her.
